Possible Login Responses

The following are possible responses from our servers.

1000: Access Granted

A response code of 1000 means that you have been granted access to the server and successfully logged into the EPP system. You may process from here to issue other EPP commands.

<epp:epp xmlns:epp="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:epp-1.0">
  <epp:response>
    <epp:result code="1000">
      <epp:msg>Access granted</epp:msg>
    </epp:result>
    <epp:trID>
      <epp:svTRID>ZACR-EPP-13F12A566CD-33FDA</epp:svTRID>
    </epp:trID>
  </epp:response>
</epp:epp>

2501: SSL Certificate Errors

A response code of 2501 means that an error has been identified when attempting to connect using Secure Socket Layer (SSL). The following messages are possible.

1. "Client Identifier does not match retrieved certificate alias" means that the username you have provided on your Login Request is incorrect. Please verify that that the username you are providing in the XML is the one given to you by the ZACR. If you have identified it as being correct, please contact us so we may diagnose the issue further.

2. "Client certificate does not exist on server. Received ABC, Expecting XYZ" means that the certificate that is currently active for your account on our servers does not match the certificate that you are connecting with on your Login Request. The ABC is the SHA1 fingerprint of the certificate that you are providing on connection. The XYZ is the SHA1 fingerprint of the certificate that the ZACR has active for your account. ABC and XYZ must match for a successful handshake. Please ensure that you are connecting with the certificate that is active.

3. "Server requires Client certificate validation, no client certificate provided" means that you are not providing your SSL certificate on connection to our server. Please ensure that your requests are being "wrapped" correctly and that your active SSL certificate is being provided in the Login Request.

4. "Login failure: Incorrect username or password" means that the provided credentials in the Login Request are incorrect. Please ensure that the credentials you are providing match the credentials provided to you by the ZACR.

<epp:epp xmlns:epp="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:epp-1.0">
  <epp:response>
    <epp:result code="2501">

    </epp:trID>
  </epp:response>
</epp:epp>

2202: Already Authenticated

A response code of 2202 means that you are attempting to log into the EPP system but are currently logged in. To rectify this you may either perform a Logout Request at the end of your processing, or simply ignore it.

<epp:epp xmlns:epp="urn:ietf:params:xml:ns:epp-1.0">
  <epp:response>
    <epp:result code="2202">
      <epp:msg>Already Authenticated</epp:msg>
